Why we're building this
What happens after high school?
For many young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, the structure and support of school don't simply keep going after graduation. Our founder has spent more than 25 years working with students with IDD — and saw this gap up close.
The phone kept ringing
After years in the classroom, our founder began receiving calls from former students' parents — searching for resources, options, and somewhere their young adult could continue to grow.
A former student, at risk
Along the way, she encountered a former student without a stable place to live. The question of what comes after school suddenly became urgent and impossible to ignore.
A vision took shape
That experience grew into ROOM2REACH LLC — a plan for a safe, supportive bridge from high school into adult life, rooted in dignity and belonging.
